So Now What

I have slept all damn day, in preparation for working all night, and now work is called off. But I have a lot more coming up in the near future, so I am hopeful that this light at the end of my long, dark tunnel is not a train.
I went to the coffee house where my photography is going to be displayed, shot some photos, looked at the gigantic space they have for me to display them...I have much thinking to do between now and the 19th. How much money I want to invest in this, what I hope to accomplish with this. I don't think I am going to use any of my nature shots there. Maybe a couple, some butterflies and flowers. But the larger scale shots, the ones I hope to have printed on canvas, are going to be some of the concert shots I have and some of my graveyard shots, maybe some of the cityscapes I have.
I probably should be working on that, but my mind is just not being cooperative tonight.
Neither is this site, I can't get their uploader to work.
Just as well, I think I might go be a vegetable in front of the idiot box for a while. Give my brain a break, ya know?

Oh yeah one more thing

This place has a lot of gadgets, I dunno how to use them yet. If anyone wants to drop the hopelessly confused a clue on how to add blogs to my 'watched bloggers list', feel free to clue me in!

Introductions

Hi there! Glad you stopped by, I hope I have the pleasure of making your acquaintance via this blog.
A bit about me?
Well, I am a 48 year old, 4-time divorcee with a warped sense of humor and a zero tolerance policy for anything I deem unworthy of my time.
I have an obsession with photography, and when the weather and my work schedule permit, I can usually be found out somewhere being chewed on by mosquitoes, chiggers, and ticks in search of a perfect photo.
I like sharing my photographs through my blog, and sometimes I will write a bit of something about the photo subject, whether it be about the subject itself, or the thoughts that the subject raised in my mind is dependent on whatever kind of mood hits me.
I have been blogging since 2005 on various sites, I loved Yahoo 360 when they had it running, and my latest blog site, while serving my needs very well and introducing me to some of the best friends I have ever made...well, lets just say I have decided it is time to 'branch out'.
One of the things I have learned in all my years of writing a blog, that it is best to set some ground rules.
It sucks that one has to do such a thing, but I know for a fact that there are people in this world who like to stir up trouble, that thrive on drama.
I want to make this clear at the onset. I have more than enough real drama in my life. My blog is a place I come to escape that drama, have some laughs, and make new friends. I will not tolerate any of the following here.
Haters.
Negativity
Having someone else's morality shoved down my throat.
Players looking for sexual hook ups.
I respect the rights of others. I feel all of us have the right to think and believe and behave as we desire so long as we harm no others in the process. If you want to read and comment, I am honored. If you want to bully, pick fights, or try to tell me I am wrong in my beliefs and opinions because they are not the same as the ones you hold, this is SO not the place for you to be reading.
I don't blog competitively. I blog when I have the time and the urge to do so. My life is busy, I travel as much as is possible, and I worked strange hours. Therefore, if you are looking to see something new here all the time, this is going to be a frustating place for you. Somedays I blog multiple times, and then there are times I go weeks without posting anything.
I have honestly met some of my dearest friends through blogging. I think it allows us to see the truer nature of a person, to read what has been written without knowing the first thing about a person. It is a much more intimate knowledge than a friendly handshake and 30 minutes of converstation in a public setting.
I hope I don't sound too much like a hardass, but I find it a lot easier to nip things in the bud than deal with a load of bullshit later on.
So there you have the long and the short of it. I do hope you will stick around. I really am kinda nice, if you give me the chance to be that way.

Here is a sample of my photography, trust me, there will be more of this to come should I become a 'regular' here!
This is one of my favorite photos, I shot it last summer at a local wildlife refuge here in Kansas City, Mo.
I just got a new camera for my birthday, I can't WAIT for the weather to break so I can head out and give it a good work out!
